Seems we went from Winter right into Summer. Temperatures in the 70s is forecast for Saturday and it will be a great day to apply sun block and hat and head to St Nicholas Park for the biggest Clean-up of the year! Join Trash Project (have you seen those pink polka dot fashionista trash bags?) and Friends of St Nicholas Park to bag over-winter leaves and trash and help get our park ready for the season. We will be there from 10am to 1pm and would appreciate seeing you for an hour, two hours, whatever you can spare for the day.
There is also Shred Fest which is scheduled in St Nicholas Park at the same time. As the saying goes, “kill two birds with one stone” – shred and bag trash. Hope to see you!
As we are reaching one of our first milestones on GoFundMe, we would like to invite you to our first ever Dog Run Community Meeting at 6:30pm, June 12th; we are in the process of securing a venue. As we would like to provide food for this meeting, please use this link to RSVP if you will be able to join us or not in order to help us ensure enough space and bites for our group.
Our first major task/goal is to apply for the tax exempt status under the section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. We would appreciate anyone with experience doing such to come and help us do so.
Other points on the agenda (detailed agenda is below), will be fundraising/capital improvement projects, community involvement, and other points we would love to get your input on.
We hope that you are able to join us and help make the run a better place for your dog, for you, and for everyone. We kindly request that you leave your dog(s) at home for this meeting.
